Music influences the human body in many ways. It can effect respiration rates, brain waves, and even heartbeat. So it was no surprise to me when Zoe told me that she met the man of her dreams at a local concert.
About the Bride
Zoe grew up in a musical family. Including her brother, two sisters, and her parents, they collectively play 14 instruments. Anytime I would go over to her house in high school it would sound as if someone were creating the perfect melody. Zoe loved music from a young age and knew it would somehow be incorporated in her life at all times. She loved going to the symphony, nightclubs where good bands were playing, and all kinds of concerts. When she got the job as a clarinet player for the orchestra in the city’s ballet, she was so happy. It was a dream job for her. I didn’t think I would ever see her happier. I was wrong.
About the Relationship
Zoe and I had plans to go to a concert when I came down with the flu. I gave my ticket to a friend of ours and told the girls that I hoped they had a great time. Zoe is a very thoughtful person, so when she called me the next afternoon, I assumed it was to check up on me. Instead, the first words out of her mouth were how attractive and funny he was. I said I agreed, especially the picture of him on their last CD. There was a pause and she practically screamed “NO! Not him, not the guy from the band! Justin!” I asked who Justin was and she went on and on about how perfect this man was. They had run into each other before the opening act and hit it off right away. They ended up spending most of the night together and they were going out again the night she called me. I was really happy for her. When I finally got to meet Justin I knew they were meant for one another. His love of music is as strong as Zoe’s, he is as thoughtful as the day is long, and I can’t imagine a better match for either of them.
