Matron of Honor Speech for a Young Bride

It is always fun for the audience at a wedding to hear about how the bride and groom met. Were they awkward and shy or did they click right away? Finding out the details can be a fun topic for the whole crowd.

Introduction

Mary and I have known each other for just over four years. I was lucky enough to be her trainer where we work at a local grocery store and I knew right away she was perfect for the job. Not only is she outgoing and friendly, but she will go out of her way to help anyone.

About the Bride

Although Mary and I had lived near each other since she was born, we hadn't met before working together. As our friendship grew I got to know her very well and really felt privileged having her as a friend. She is crazy about old movies, the latest fashion trends, and music. Spending time with Mary means that you will come away knowing more about one of these topics than you would had you read 10 books on the subject.

About the Relationship

I have to admit that I began to laugh every time Jason walked into the store. I would see him scan the cash registers just looking for Mary. He would pick up some trivial item and non-chalantly maneuver his way to her register. I think I caught on faster than she did because when I mentioned it she thought I was crazy, but admitted she liked the way I was thinking! After a month or so of this, Jason finally got up the courage to ask Mary out. As soon as they began dating, all of us at the store felt that it was a match made in heaven.

Conclusion

I truly believe that these two young people were meant to meet. Their love for one another shows in everything they do. They are thoughtful, kind, and tender with one another, the way two people who love each other should be. Mary and Jason, I wish you both a life filled with happiness and health!
